Team Duluth had a great showing at the Section 7 meet today at Giant's Ridge, with 11 current and two former team members qualifying.

Top honors on the girls side went to Megan Danelski, who won by nearly 3 seconds.  On the team side, the Marshall Ladies --  including Elke Wood (who finished 2nd individually) and Charlotte Skinner (7th), and former Team Duluth Athlete Dominique Caya (10th)  --  took second behind a strong Cook County team.  Marshall just edged the Hermantown team tying them in points and having to use the fifth place finisher as tie-breaker (that's why you always hike, and hike fast).    In addition to Megan, Olivia Tusa (5th), Madison Danelski (7th), Mary Kate Wheeler (12th) and Lilly Whitney-Eliason (15th) all qualified as individuals.  In total, our ladies took 3 of the top 5, 5 of the top 10 and 7 of the top 15 spots.

Team Duluth was also well represented on the Boys side, where Henry Roningen got the bullet and let the East team to a second place team finish.  On the East Team with Hank are Sam Seelos, who finished 8th, and Nick Lane (29th).   Qualifying as individuals were Alex DeRocher (15th) and former team-member John Green (14th).

In Section 5, team-member Savannah Stone took 7th and also qualified as an individual.

Congratulations to all the qualifiers from Team Duluth and good luck next week at State!
