    Sports Psychology Program

    Saturday, November 15, 2008

Dr. Dave Plude has volunteered to provide Team Duluth athletes a Sports Psychology Program that addresses the six core concepts of sports psychology as related to ski racing.  Energy Management, Imagery, Focus, Self Talk, Performance Planning, and Goal Achievement/Planning are the core areas of sports psychology and are currently utilized by many collegiate, professional, and olympic teams.  Dave will provide (Part I) an overview of these areas, and an opportunity to practice imagery/relaxation techniques during his first presentation Tuesday, November 18, at the Team Room which will be incorporated with dryland training.  Parts 2, 3 will occur in December.  Try not to miss the intro!
